"Our House is Your House" - Copeland House Rules & Policies

At Copeland House we strive to provide high-quality accommodation and facilities.  In order to mantain that quality please treat the property with respect and kindly remember this is still our home.  By booking the accommodation and services provided by Copeland House you agree to abide by our policies and house rules.

Often your stay will be shared with other guests. In order to ensure every person has an enjoyable stay we ask all guests to please keep noise to a minimum, respect other guests' rights to use the facilities and leave the facilities clean and tidy after use.

CANCELLATION POLICY  We offer a Flexible 14 Day Cancellation Period.

  • The guest can cancel free of charge until 14 days before arrival. The guest will be charged 50% of the total price if they cancel in the 7 days before arrival.

  • No prepayment is needed and all billing will be done at time of checkout.

 

Equipment and Furnishings

We know that accidents happen :)  Whether it be eye candy, furniture or appliances please let us know.  Whilst we do our best to test the rooms between turns, time constraints sometimes mean that we may miss something.  Your assistance in telling us if anything is awry in your room helps us to ensure that your enjoyment during your stay isn't spoilt & that the room is made comfortable for the next guest.

However... Wiping your makeup off on our white bath towels is not an accident.  Believe it or not we throw away bathroom linen every week (you should see my ragbag!). So PLEASE, if you do not wish to pay for replacements, use the makeup wipes and black flannels provided in the room to remove your makeup.

No Smoking

As non-smokers & in deference to other guests we kindly ask that you do not smoke in your room or on the deck areas around the house.  If you are a smoker, we encourage you to enjoy the tables & chairs near the carpark.  Please ask & we will supply you with an ashtray, do not drop your butts for the wildlife to find.

There are smoke detectors in each room & a $300 cleaning fee will be charged should you choose to ignore this request.  This is to cover the cost of specialist cleaning of the linens, mattress & curtains for the enjoyment of future guests.

Children & Beds

We aim to provide a relaxed environment for our guests to enjoy & our wildlife to abound. For this reason we have an Adults Only policy and do not permit children under the age of 18 (including infants).

Suites are limited to 2 guests at a time. Our beds are high quality King matresses and cannot be split into singles.  Extra beds are not available.

Pets

The property abounds with all sorts of wildlife and other guests.  For their safety and that of your pets we ask that you leave your furry friends at home please.

For all your cuddling needs and frisbee throws you are welcome to hang with Tess, our Labradoodle pup with no boundaries.  Consider yourself warned, lol!  Please let us know if you are uncomfortable with dogs (even the goofball ones) and we will keep her harnessed when outdoors.

Personal Property and Vehicles

Copeland House shall not be responsible for any loss or damage to any property, including vehicles and their contents, brought onto the site by guests.  All rooms are fitted with a door lock.

There is free parking in an area towards the top right of the driveway.  Please do not park in front of the house unless prior arrangements have been made.

Lights, Air Conditioning and Keys

Please turn off lights and air conditioners when not in the room.  You co-operation is appreciated and helps us keep our summer & winter room rates down.

Please return keys when you check-out.  Any lost or not returned will be charged at a replacement cost of $15.

Covid-19 & What We're Doing

Firstly, we all know the effect of Covid-19 on the tourism industry. So a heartfelt THANK YOU from both of us & all of those tied to the industry for considering a visit to the region.
Like all tourism providers, we have had to make some changes to the way we manage your stay.  Some things, (like washing quilt covers after each stay), have always been a part of our procedures, other things, (like permanently smelling of hand sanitiser) are new for us too. But it's a brave new world & we're rising to the challenge.  So that you are informed about what we are doing to keep you (and us!) safe, we have the following procedures in place.

Like you, we're super hopeful that lockdowns are a thing of the past. In the event there is a government required lockdown of our area or yours then you are welcome to postpone or cancel your stay with us without any penalty.  Sometimes things are just beyond everyone's control.

Flu Shot, Covid Vaccination & Covid Safe App
check, check & check! You will also need to sign in using the Service NSW QR Code (& where required) show proof of vaccination.  The fines are huge so sorry, those first five minutes are going to be awkward while we get you to logon to our WIFI and check that it's done.

Sanitising
1. all linens are laundered with each stay regardless of whether they are used or not.
2. all crockery & cutlery goes through the dishwasher at high temp
3. pencils in the room will be disposed of with each stay
4. high touch areas eg. light switches, door handles & remotes recieve extra attention with sanitiser
5. a new set of disposable gloves are worn to clean/service each room to avoid cross contamination

Hand Sanitiser
You'll find some located in your room as well as the common areas & a little one to pop on your keyring when you're out & about in town

Time Out
Rooms are left out-of-service for at least 24 hours between stays to allow any little beasties to die

We can use the credit card details provided online & bill your stay accordingly

Service Free
We would typically make the bed, dry the towels, remove dirty crockery & cutlery & top up guest amenities. Happy to leave it if you prefer & you can leave the dishes in foyer. 

Breakfast
We can deliver it on a tray to your room door rather than serve it.
